Founding Date: January 16, 1967
Founder: Chief (Mrs.) Frances Oladiwura Fasoranti, an educationist who studied at UMC (Unified Memorial College) Ibadan and the University of Liverpool, alongside her husband, the elder statesman and Afenifere leader Pa Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti. Background: Chief (Mrs.) Fasoranti worked briefly as an education inspector with the Ministry of Education in the old Western Region before resigning to establish the institution Location and Development Address: Situated at No. 21 (or 23) Fasoranti Avenue, Akure, Ondo State.Growth: The co-educational institution grew to become one of the oldest and most famous elementary schools in Akure. The success of Omolere also inspired the founders later to establish other notable institutions, such as Akure High School.
Many of the students who begin at Omolere as toddlers go on to St. Frances' Academy for secondary school, continuing the same standard of care under one school family. For us, that continuity isn't a coincidence. It's the whole point.
